The Giza Pyramid Complex (also known as the Giza Necropolis) is an archaeological site in Egypt that includes the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, as well as their associated complexes and the Great Sphinx. These monuments were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of ancient Egypt, between approximately 2600 and 2500 BC. The site also includes numerous temples, tombs, and the remains of a workers' village.

The Giza pyramid complex consists of the Great Pyramid, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu, built c. 2580–2560 BC; the smaller Pyramid of Khafre, located a few hundred meters to the southwest; and the relatively modest Pyramid of Menkaure, also located a few hundred meters to the southwest. The Great Sphinx stands on the eastern side of the complex, and Egyptologists unanimously believe that the head of the Sphinx represents the head of King Khafre.

Saqqara village is one of the villages affiliated with the Badrashin District in the Giza Governorate of the Arab Republic of Egypt. According to the 2006 census, the total population of Saqqara was 32,112, including 16,481 men and 15,631 women. Saqqara contains ancient Egyptian royal tombs belonging to the dynasties that ruled ancient Egypt from the capital, Memphis. It also contains several pyramids, including the Step Pyramid of Djoser, which dates back to the Third Dynasty and is the oldest complete stone structure known historically, in addition to several archaeological mastaba.
